I try to focus on sentence writing on Mondays, so this pack is perfect. Students began with the simple, but boring sentence 'The dragon lived in. When we write, I encourage the kids to give me more than they think they can give. You can have the most wonderful thoughts, but if you can't express it in a good sentence it is bunk. Throughout the week 2MD and 2DD have been focussing on writing 'super' sentences. I read the Super Hero sentence Headbands. Don't they look cute in their super hero poses? A 2 pairs sentence or an Outside (inside) sentence would be brilliant! Super Penguin to the rescue is the first fully planned piece of writing from my first graders each year.
